ETCR’s facilities are located in a remote, rural setting amid the natural beauty of the eastern Cumberland Plateau. ETCR has extensive large animal housing facilities with portable stall components and feeding/watering equipment which can be configured in almost infinite variety. Our primary facility (Copper Ridge Farm) features a stable with 20 permanent stalls, video camera monitoring system, and a covered arena that can accommodate 40 individual stalls. In addition, three Quick Cover™ buildings have respective capacities for 16, 16, and 22 horse stalls or variable numbers of pens for cattle or small ruminants.
Specifics of space, feed, and bedding can be modified to fit nearly any protocol. The Copper Ridge Farm site also features separate working facilities for horses and cattle, certified livestock scales, environmental monitoring equipment, and designated areas for necropsy and sample collection.
In 2008, ETCR completed construction of a 5,000 sq. ft. small animal facility with simultaneous capacity for 88 dogs and ~50 cats housed in groups, pairs, or individually.
ETCR’s laboratory and administrative offices are housed in a 3,600 sq. ft. building which features a dedicated area for secure archiving of records and study files, and for environmentally-controlled storage of test articles and investigational products.
